Insurvey is now one of the NABL accreditated laboratories for In Situ Metallography

In-situ Metallography is a NDT method to study of inservice degradation of microstructural damage mainly in process Plant. Damage mechanism like creep, fatigue, high-temp corrosion, stress corrosion cracking etc. is evaluated to take appropriate action to replace or repair the component and also to assess the residual life. Skilled and trained Technicians deployed at site, prepare replica of the microstructure on the surface, followed by evaluation and interpretation by highly qualified and experienced Metallurgists in our Laboratory. Services are extensively utilized by Units of Refineries & Petrochemicals, Thermal Power Stations, Fertilizer and Chemicals etc.

Recently successfully completed In-situ Metallography of appreciable spots of Stem Tubes of QARN Alam and AMAL or Petroleum Development of Oman
