In the process of development since inception, the Company has always given due consideration for procurement of best quality of available indigenous and imported instruments.

On Client's demand and specification requirements, we normally decide our procurement planning of new instruments and equipments, of course conducive to our financial resources Among the Private Laboratories of the Eastern Region of the country, we have the maximum resources both in human and in NDT Instruments.

Much problem was being faced by our various clients regarding mixing of different grade of materials in the project stage. The concept of material indentification, particularly for the alloy steel in the pre-despatched condition or in stores or during the fabrication/erection and commissioning has become obligatory in Refineries and Petrochemicals. In the process, we have already procured two nos. of Portable Spectrometer for grade identification as well as to find out Chemistry of the material at site. The details of the PMI instruments are given below:

In the field of Destructive Testing, we are equipped with Tensile Testing Machine of 600000N capacity, upgraded with Electronic UTE Panel, Pressure Cell Capacity:600kN, Encoder Assembly of Resolution 0.1mm, Electronic Extensometer with Hardware & SW02 Software and Three way Valve for Manual as well as Electronic Operation. We are also equipped with Rockwell, Brinel and Vickers Hardness Machines. We have Tensile Testing Machines of 10000N and 2500N for softer materials.

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing(PAUT)

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing is an advanced method of ultrasonic testing that has several applications in non destructive testing, Common applications are to noninvasively examine, to find flaws in manufactured materials such as corrosion mapping of ppeines. Single-element (non-phased array) probes, known technically as monolithic probes, emit a beam in a fixed drection. To test or interrogate a large volume of material, a conventional probe must be physicaly scanned (moved or turned to and fro) to sweep the beam through the area of interest. In contrast, the beam from a phased array probe can be moved electronically, without moving the probe, and can be swept through a wide volume of material at high speed(for shear wave). The beam is controlable because a phased array probe is made up of mutiple smal elements, each of which can be pused individually at a computer-calculated timing. The term phased refers to the timing, and the term array refers to the multiple elements.

Ultrasonic phased arrays have proven to be a very appropriate inspection technique for weld inspections, especially encoded arrays with linear scanning. The flexibility of phased arrays allows them to be tailored to almost any weld profile and predicted defects.

Phased arrays also have significant advantages over conventional inspection techniques: flexibility, high speed, lower costs (under many conditions), full data storage for auditing, and significantly increased productivity (for volume inspections).
